Customer Reviews

I have a little squadron of mini helicopters and this one is by far the ideal so far. I read amazing critiques of the Syma S107. I was very pleased with it compared to some of the older Syma models. Then I saw the positive evaluations for this and believed I would give it a go. It flies extremely properly! Quiter than the other seven helicopters I have and so stable, smooth, and responsive. It is a small slow with forward and reverse momentum, but not bad. Slow is less difficult to control...possibly that was intentional. We fly these every day in the office and this hands down outperforms everthing else.
For those comparing models, here you go:
Syma S109 Apache- Outstanding
Syma S105G (Sport Helicopter) Fairly Good -Fastest, stable, but somewhat loud, durable metal frame
Syma S107G- (Sport Helicopter) Pretty great- nearly identical to S105 but a small slower, distinct scheme, older?
Syma S026 Chinook- Looks cool, flies ok, but tough to manage. Also much power for its weight 'Cieling magnet'
Syma S013 Black Hawk- Horrible! Extremely light, spins uncontrollably, fragile
Syma S013 Apache- See S013 Black Hawk review. (buddy bought this one particular to join the fun: nothing but regrets)
Heard the S108G Cobra is great too but haven't tried it. My deployment to Iraq is almost more than, so I in all probability won't be purchasing any additional toys.

What a difference a gyro makes! Incredible...I tried one particular of the 1st gen micro R/C copters (no gyro on those) not long right after they came out, and identified them to be extremely difficult to manage and not substantially enjoyable simply because of it.
This generation with the gyro is just wonderful though...SO stable, SO very easy - but not boring. There is nevertheless a understanding curve for full R/C noobies that will make this a excellent 1st R/C copter, but I look at it pretty much like a challenge...trying to master this tiny beast is Fun!
This also actually looks like a authentic helicopter, compared to the ones I purchased previously, which looked like....nicely like R/C copters - absolutely unrealistic.
The LED lights are great so you can fly at night (my youngsters Love that - the dog...not so substantially), and the thing even seems to behave like a real helicopter, with ground impact and getting to lessen speed (thrust?) to tilt forward (I am no pilot or physicist, but I do know that the earlier models I tried did not give me any sort of sense of "this point FEELS like I am flying a actual helicopter!")
Gonna cease now because I sound like I operate for the business (not even certain who the provider is actually, but whoever it is, they sorely need to have an English native to write the English element of the instruction manual!)
Can not advocate this adequate. Hassle-free very easy 5 stars.
FYI if you are interested in modding your Syma (specifically, the low cost, straightforward and great tail rotor mod that tends to make it faster and even more agile), you should obtain the model that looks like the R/C copter (107G I believe). Discovered this out the challenging way, but I nevertheless choose this one particular for the looks. Video of the mod outcomes: [...]
