The beneficial:
I got this in the mail these days and I have to say it looks better in person the white and gold appear really sleek (five stars for it really is looks). I read some superior reviews about this helicopter on the internet and decided it would be a nice upgrade from my 2 channel propel mini rc heli which performs well and has gone 2 years and hundreds upon hundreds of crashes with out breaking as soon as. But adequate about my old heli, the 107g is a fantastic mini helicopter it really is three.five channel control enables the pilot to control lift, left and suitable turning, and forward / reverse which is great! five stars for getting an cost effective 3.5 channel heli. The good quality of this heli is terrific, the manufacturer honestly spared no expense in using awesome parts on this superb little heli(5 stars for excellent). I've crashed it a handful of times and it doesn't show a single scratch, I give durability 4 stars since I've barely owned it
The Poor:
In all honesty, this heli performs exactly as it must. My only complaint is that the heli is not extremely rapidly out of the box. Thinking about it really is an indoor helicopter, slower speeds are most certainly a really good function for those who have not mastered the controls. This can not seriously be considered a large complaint taking into consideration how conveniently it can be modified to allow more rapidly speeds for alot more advanced flyers (next section).
Mods:
1.) Following reading about acquiring aftermarket rotor blades, spinning the rotor upside down, and so on etc, I decided to basically eliminate a handful of pieces of the helicopter. I removed the 2 bars and the piece connecting them to the tail bar, along with the tail fin (not to be confused with the rotor). This does a few things: 1) lowers weight of the helicopter 2) increases power (due to weight loss) three) increases battery life (due to weight loss) 4) tends to make the heli a lot faster and a lot more responsive. Please note that the heli will be a lot faster than ahead of, but it will be slightly less stable due to the lowered weight and increased speeds. Take it easy the very first handful of instances around the living space, it will take some obtaining use to.
2.) If your a speed freak and want the fastest s107g out there then you can also take away the landing bars. I do not suggest this for a little inside area as it can make it complicated to navigate about furniture and tight spaces. I would advocate this for people who fly in sizeable indoor regions or outside as the speed enhance can be enjoyable. If that is not quick enough for you, then you can try the rotor flipping mod and replace the stock rotor with some fancy aftermarket a single. If that isn't quickly adequate then, superior for you, you have a residence the size of a football field. :p
Breif Review:
The 107g is a great mini rc helicopter, looks terrific, flies wonderful, has wonderful stability. It is a tiny slow out of the box, but that can easily be fixed (see mods section above). Overall I rate this tiny heli a five/5. It has every little thing I want in an indoor heli and I couldn't be happier for this low price. If you like flying the two channel indoor heli's then this is a terrific upgrade!
