The excellent:
I got this in the mail right now and I have to say it looks superior in person the white and gold appear particularly sleek (five stars for it is looks). I study some fine critiques about this helicopter on the net and decided it would be a good upgrade from my two channel propel mini rc heli which performs well and has gone 2 years and hundreds upon hundreds of crashes with no breaking when. But sufficient about my old heli, the 107g is a excellent mini helicopter it is three.five channel control allows the pilot to manage lift, left and correct turning, and forward / reverse which is amazing! 5 stars for getting an cost-effective 3.five channel heli. The excellent of this heli is fantastic, the manufacturer seriously spared no expense in making use of good parts on this awesome tiny heli(five stars for top quality). I've crashed it a few times and it doesn't show a single scratch, I give durability four stars due to the fact I've barely owned it
The Negative:
In all honesty, this heli performs specifically as it should certainly. My only complaint is that the heli isn't very quickly out of the box. Thinking about it is an indoor helicopter, slower speeds are surely a beneficial function for those who haven't mastered the controls. Mods:
1.) Right after reading about shopping for aftermarket rotor blades, spinning the rotor upside down, and so on etc, I decided to basically get rid of a couple of pieces of the helicopter. I removed the 2 bars and the piece connecting them to the tail bar, along with the tail fin (not to be confused with the rotor). This does a few points: 1) lowers weight of the helicopter two) increases power (due to weight loss) three) increases battery life (due to weight loss) 4) makes the heli a lot more rapidly and a lot more responsive. Please note that the heli will be a lot faster than prior to, but it will be slightly much less stable due to the lowered weight and enhanced speeds. Take it hassle-free the initial handful of times around the living room, it will take some finding use to.
2.) If your a speed freak and want the fastest s107g out there then you can also take away the landing bars. I do not advise this for a tiny inside area as it can make it troublesome to navigate about furniture and tight spaces. I would recommend this for consumers who fly in sizeable indoor locations or outside as the speed improve can be enjoyable. If that is not rapidly enough for you, then you can try the rotor flipping mod and replace the stock rotor with some fancy aftermarket one. If that is not rapid sufficient then, really good for you, you have a residence the size of a football field. :p
Breif Critique:
The 107g is a awesome mini rc helicopter, looks amazing, flies great, has outstanding stability. It is a little slow out of the box, but that can very easily be fixed (see mods section above). Overall I rate this tiny heli a five/five. It has everything I want in an indoor heli and I couldn't be happier for this low price. If you like flying the two channel indoor heli's then this is a excellent upgrade!
